Fashion in the Crossroads- Backyard Bonanza of Creativity
Working in the Crossroads Arts District in Kansas City is a refreshing visual experience to say the least. We are provided a consistent opportunity to see the latest fashion trends as well as people just expressing their personal style. The Crossroads Arts District is an eclectic collection of one-of-a-kind restaurants, independent businesses, retail boutiques, art studios and galleries. For a number of years Foot Traffic has called the Crossroads Arts District home and has contributed to the commerce of this special creative community. People from all over the city come to the Crossroads to experience many of the fun events offered throughout the year, particularly First Fridays, the first Friday of every month, where studios and galleries are open to enjoy the art of local and national artists while experiencing the food and drink in this unique area. It is a great time to mingle with the overflowing crowds to enjoy the art, food, and people watch. One of the most exciting events coming soon to the Crossroad is the West 18th Street Fashion Show . This will be the 11th year for this free fashion extravaganza that features 18 collections from a select group of local and national designers. The show is an outdoor event that will take place Saturday, June 11, on 18th Street between Wyandotte and Baltimore. The theme is Summer in Spain and should be an exciting evening that will provide an inspiring overload of visual stimulation and creative energy.
