Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I love the whole reason for the day. I love seeing my family… I love the chaos… and I love the smells of cinnamon, spice and everything nice that comes out of the kitchen. I also love the annual tradition on the Country Club Plaza where on Thanksgiving night, the 52 miles of lights that decorate the buildings and storefronts are turned on as thousands watch from the streets or on their big screen TVs. It is a joyous occasion as it is a beautiful end to Thanksgiving day and a magical start of the Christmas holidays. Because I love Christmas as much as I love Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving when everyone is out shopping, I go all out with decorating the house, baking, listening to holiday music, etc. And, I get out my holiday socks.
