Monochromatic Dressing - Pantone Queen

Fit for a Queen! The average height of American women is 5'5". So, why does everybody wants to be taller? I don't get it. I suppose it is because we see models every day that are 5'9" and wearing 6" heels. That is not normal, but it is what we are exposed to daily, in magazines, on television and in the movies. So, what are the tricks to looking taller? One way is called "column dressing." That is, wearing clothes within a monochromatic color scheme that extends from head to toe. The colors don't have to match exactly and changing the textures helps create interest. As seen on the runway, solid color tights and leggings can make you look taller. Even the Queen wants to appear taller. Yes, the "Queen" of monochromatic dressing is literally Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth II. I recently found this incredible limited edition colour guide developed at Leo Burnett London in collaboration with Pantone that shows the queen and her head-to- toe monochromatic outfits. Of course, she is missing one of the most important accessories, and that is tights or leggings---one of the quickest ways to add visual length. She probably has not checked out our website! We may not have every pantone color but we do have a breadth of colors perfect for fashion 2012. I say, if monochromatic dressing is fit for a queen, then go for it!
