What's Under YOUR Wedding Dress?
Don't let your legs be last The perfect man…. The perfect dress… The perfect flowers… The perfect cake… The perfect legwear… WHAT?!! Yes, the perfect legwear! Planning a wedding takes time, patience and remembering every detail. Finding "the one" dress is almost as important as finding "the one" husband. The dress includes not only the beautiful dress and veil, but everything else "under the dress" such as the shoes, garter and undergarments, and stockings. The entire "package" is a personal expression of the bride's personality so it's an opportunity to be playful, fun and surprising. I recently spoke with Michael Nolte, a well-known bridal consultant, motivational speaker, and designer with two bridal salons in Kansas City. Michael has been designing bridal gowns for over 25 years and has contracted to style over 1000 weddings since 1980. When I asked him what the ladies are wearing on their legs under their dress, he smiled and said that the current style is "au natural" with a simple garter. We are all familiar with the ceremony of the groom lifting the dress, exposing the leg and removing the garter. Brides are spending beaucoup bucks on their shoes so Michael thinks doing something special with legwear is a unique opportunity to add even more fun under the dress while showing some of the bride's fun personality. There are so many beautiful and fun stockings , tights and thigh highs available. Yes, beautiful legs are a natural solution but here are some fresh new options to make your wedding as unique as you are!
